II Timothy 4:1-3: I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
The centerpiece of our church is the preaching time. The focal point is the Lord Jesus. The messenger is the pastor (or special speaker) who brings forth God’s Word. In our church we do not strive to make much of Man, but to make much of Jesus! Many churches make much of singing, dramas, entertainment, and self, but we believe Jesus is the only One worthy of our praise, honor, and glory (Revelation 5:12-14)!
Our pastor believes in preaching the Word and the Word only. He does not give his opinion on politics, recount his family’s events over the past week, or ask the congregation what they did over the last few days. He does not get his message from an email from his denominational headquarters. Instead, he prayerfully asks God for a message, obtains a text by faith, develops a sermon by faith, and preaches with God’s help! The preaching time is for preaching and response: a time for the Lord to give His message to His people, while His people open their hearts to receive it by faith and obedience!
We offer the following preaching times:
1. Sunday Morning: 10 and 11am
2. Sunday Evening: 5:30pm
3. Wednesday Evening: 7pm
4. Children’s Church for every service
5. Revival Services throughout the year
In today’s world of weak Christianity we need all the preaching we can hear to help us fight our spiritual battles! Our pastor endeavors to be full of grace and truth, but will not tickle the ears of the scorner or change the message because of opposition to God’s Word!
